The application fee is $35 per person and is a non-refundable amount. All persons over the age of 18 must complete an application for occupancy and will be a leaseholder upon approval.

A one-time payment in the amount of $200. This payment is non-refundable unless cancellation is made in writing within 48 hours of signed reservation agreement.
We welcome a two-pet maximum per apartment, not to exceed 65 lbs. total weight of one dog. Some breeds are prohibited and all pets are subject to the approval of management. A pet deposit is required and monthly pet rent amounts are per pet. Specifics regarding your pet’s breed, weight, proof of rabies documentation from your veterinarian and a photo of your pet will be required prior to move-in. A pet deposit of $500 is due upon move-in. A monthly pet rent of $40 per pet will be due at the beginning of each month.
Individual parking garages are available. A $125 refundable deposit is due upon move-in if you rent a garage. A monthly garage rent of $200 per garage will be due at the beginning of each month. Parking spots are not reserved and are first-come, first-served. No commercial vehicles are permitted to be parked overnight on the property.
12-month leases are standard but we do offer variable lease terms as market conditions allow. Short-term premiums apply for all lease terms under 12 months.
In the event there is a reduced market rate at the time you lease your new home, the concession is extended in consideration of a 12-month minimum and is expected to be paid back in full if the lease term is not fulfilled.
Residents pay for gas, electric, water, sewer and trash. Your leasing professional will be happy to provide you with the local contact numbers to set up your new accounts.
We require all residents to have a minimum of $100,000 liability coverage at all times and Legend Management Group to be included as “Additional Insured.” All approved applications pre-qualify for an A+ policy that is easy, affordable and hassle-free at eRenterPlan.com. Ask your leasing professional about our eRenterPlans or you can use the insurance company of your choice.
Home is where the heart is and we are very pleased to share that many of our residents decide to stay with us year after year. If you are looking for a specific apartment home and availability is limited, the VIP Wait List is your best option. We are able to determine future availability 60 days in advance. The reservation fee is required to join the waiting list and is refundable until you select your new home. You may lock into current rental rates offered for 90 days.
Life is busy and time is valuable, so we aim to make our exchanges as hassle-free as possible with our resident portal. Residents and future residents have the options of paying rent online with a credit card,* auto-debit or e-check through our resident portal. Simply click the “Resident Login” link above to login or register. Rent can also be paid with a check, money order or cashier’s check.

The Housing for Older Persons Act (HOPA) is an exception to the Federal Fair Housing Act that allows communities to operate as 55 (fifty-five) or older housing. To qualify for this exemption, the following criteria must be met: At least 80% of the community must be occupied by at least one resident over the age of 55.
At least one resident over the age of 55 must reside in the home and other occupants may reside in the home over the age of 19.
There is no requirement that the remaining 20% of the occupied apartment homes be occupied by persons under the age of 55, nor is there a requirement that those apartments be used only for persons where at least one member of the household is 55 years of age or older. However, the minimum age requirement is 19.
The following documents are considered to be reliable for age verification: birth certificate, drivers license, passport, immigration card, military identification, or any other state, local, national or international documentation, provided it contains current information about the age or birth of the possessor.
No. The Elms at Clarksburg Village Encore is an active adult community and does not offer assisted/continuing care. The community is for those active adults who want to enjoy an independent lifestyle.
Guests of a resident and persons who are under nineteen (19) years of age may stay in the apartment home for periods of time not to exceed a total of fourteen (14) days for each guest in any one calendar year.
